Derived Measurements Extended Response

Mark's heart beats 16 times in 15 seconds. At that rate, how many times will it beat in one minute?

There are 60 seconds in 1 minute and 15 seconds is 1/4 of 60. So, since it takes 15 four times to go to 60, you multiply 16 and 4, and you get 64. Therefore, the answer is 64 beats per minute.
